Cristina Goulart, 1st Place 

Cristina Goulart writes fiction, poetry, and non-fiction. She has had several articles regarding environmental issues published in local newspapers including the Windsor Times and the Ukiah Daily Journal. She has also had a fiction piece included in the 2013 Redwood Writers Anthology, Beyond Boundaries. She lives and works in Santa Rosa where she is writing her first novel.

Rayna Penning holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in English from Sonoma State University. She and several peers from graduate school continue to provide each other with support and valuable feedback through a small writing group known as the Keys. Rayna writes primarily literary fiction, as well as the occasional noir-style piece. Her short fiction has previously been published in Red Wheelbarrow and Ink Tank literary magazines.

Michelle Wing is a writer of creative nonfiction and poetry. Her first book, Body on the Wall, a collection of poetry, will be released May 15 by Saddle Road Press. She has been published previously in Sinister Wisdom, The Gay & Lesbian Review, and numerous anthologies. She is aided in all her endeavors by her faithful service dog, Ripley, always at her side.

A multifaceted storyteller, Laura McHale Holland has published the flash fiction collection, The Ice Cream Vendor’s Song, and the award-winning memoir, Reversible Skirt.
