What is your Next Step as a writer? Join us in April for our 3rd conference, where we hope to answer your questions. We have speakers and panels with experts representing all fields of the industry to discuss four areas: The Craft of Writing, Genre, Publishing and Marketing. Our keynote speaker is David Corbett on Beyond the Book: Writing Opportunities in a Multi-Platform Era.”

7:00 am Conference Team and Registration Check-in Volunteers
7:30 am All Volunteers check in; Redwood Writers authors check in
8:00 – 8:30 am Open for Attendees to check in; Book Sales and Signings; Speakers can start to check in at Presenters’ Table.
8:30 – 9:15 am

General Session Welcome. Morning Keynote Address by David Corbett, “Beyond the Book: Writing Opportunities in a Multi-Platform Era.” Coffee, pastries, bagels and fruit available.

Craft Track:

The Craft track sessions will take writers from the research stage through developing character and improving grammar skills to creating authentic dialog that bring scenes alive.

Publishing Track:

The Publishing track builds sessions on name recognition, working with agents, online networking and new ways to publish.

Marketing Track:

The days of your publisher doing all the PR and marketing for your book is long gone. That, together with the fact that more writers are becoming indie publishers, adds up to this: authors must do their own marketing. In this track, you’ll learn the A-B-Cs of promoting your own books, both locally and throughout cyberspace.
