Redwood Writers Announces
Four Writing Contests for 2013
Redwood Writers announces its four writing contests for 2013, in the genres of playwriting, memoir, fiction and poetry. Contests are open to residents of Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Marin, Lake and Sonoma counties. Cash prizes are awarded, and winning entrants are invited to the club for recognition, in addition to having their pieces published in a commemorative leaflet and on the club’s website.

Winning plays will be produced in coordination with the 6th Street Playhouse at the Third Annual Redwood Writers Play Festival June 28-30, 2013.
Memoir Contest, Deadline: June 1, 2013
Awards will be made at the August 11, 2013 general membership meeting.
Fiction Contest, Deadline: Aug. 5, 2013
Awards will be made at the October 13, 2013 general membership meeting.
Poetry Contest, Deadline: Nov. 15, 2013
Awards will be made at the January 12, 2014 general membership meeting.
Playwriting Contest Deadline: Dec. 15th, 2013
Awards will be made Feb. 9, 2014 general membership meeting. Winning plays to be produced two weekends in May, 2014.
