Cash prizes of $100, $50, and $25 were awarded to the winners during the presentation at the Redwood Writers April 11th general meeting. Their poems will be published in The Redwood Writer newsletter in the near future.
The contest was organized by Linda Loveland Reid and judged by Gwynn O’Gara, Sonoma County Poet Laureate, 2010 – 2011, Shotsie Gorman, and Arthur Dawson.
As Gorman says about poets and their poems, “It takes courage to be honest.”
