In this four-hour workshop, beginning and advanced writers alike will learn powerful and effective journaling techniques to enhance their writing skills. You will learn and practice journaling methods to help develop strong settings, create dynamic characters, enhance sensory descriptions, and reflect on meaning and theme in your work. During the workshop Amber Lea Starfire will employ a combination of lecture and demonstration, in-class exercises, and group discussions.

Amber Lea Starfire is an author, editor, & teacher whose passion is helping others tell their stories. Author of Week by Week: A Year’s Worth of Journaling Prompts, her work has also appeared in Wisdom Has a Voice: Every Daughter’s Memories of Mother, and literary journals.
