Social media is a dynamic field that is constantly evolving, and I enjoy the challenge of keeping up with every innovation and tweak that occurs so I can help authors like you grow your online presence.
I began as a reporter before delving into the field of public relations. When social media emerged, it was only natural that I would use this new platform.
As a social media strategist and manager, my focus is on helping authors like you surmount the barriers that keep you from flourishing online and selling more books. When you retain me, you have a team member ready to set up your social media profiles, handle your accounts for you, provide training, and even write your blog posts for you.
That’s right; you’ll never have to think about your social media accounts again (unless you want to). I guess you could call me a social media genie. I do it all for you.
What if you only need a session or two of training? I can provide that as well.
Whether you write romance, literary fiction, memoir, YA, or for the new adult market, you need to be on social media if you expect to connect with your readers.
I’ve written guest posts for Joanna Penn and Jane Friedman’s blog and several specialty blogs, including Romance University and Nina Amir’s blog, Write Nonfiction Now. And I’m a contributing writer to Joel Friedlander’s blog, TheBookDesigner.com and the designated Social Media Expert and blogger for BookWorks, and a blogger for Bowker’s SPA (Self-Published Author).
Author Marketing Experts, named me one of the top 16 people to follow on Twitter in 2016 and named my website twice to their top 30 list and top 100 list.
I’ve taught social media for authors through Stanford University Extension and UC Berkeley Extension as well as at the San Francisco Writer’s Conference, Redwood Writers, the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Conference, the Mendocino Coast Writers Conference, and the Bay Area Independent Publisher’s Association. In addition, I provided a summit session for the Canadian Writers Association and was interviewed by podcaster Joanna Penn.

I have a wide variety of interests and have recently turned my attention to one of the most difficult. As a writer, you don’t need me to tell you what it is. I do find that the difference between web sites is best seen in the headlines, captions and story text. Yes, graphics matter and video is the king of online content, but good writing is essential for a good site.
Please see http://socostories.com for a video series I produce on people and places in Sonoma County. Let me know if you have a topic to cover.

I learned to love public speaking when I met Susan RoAne, author of “How to Work a Room.” I discovered that focusing on other people, was the secret to vanquishing my nervousness.
