There are immense benefits to reading your work aloud before an audience. Listen for the rhythm in your words, watch the reaction of your audience, feel the impact of your writing. Join us for camaraderie and literature.

Please support Gaia’s Garden with a purchase of delicious, healthy food and/or premium beverages, $5 per person minimum. There is free parking on the street and behind the venue in the Community Market lot.

Open mic sign-ups start at 5:30 p.m. First come, first served. Open mic limited to five minutes per person. Please be courteous by observing the time limit. And bring a friend! Open mic is held on the fourth Monday of each month.

Jing Li taught 10 years of high school English in China before competing her way to America as the runaway number one winner from Shanxi Province to be an international exchange teacher in 1986. She earned her master’s degree in Oklahoma in 1990 and taught another 20 years of English as the Second Language and Mandarin Chinese in San Francisco’s public schools.
