What are the special conditions needed for a Readers Theater play?

How is a complete story compressed so it can be told in 10 minutes?

What writing techniques capture and hold the attention of the audience?

Through the use of a few well-known folktales, participants will put into practice the answers to these questions. Led by Off the Page Readers Theater actor/direcor, Hilary Moore, writers will share the work they create in the workshop, and compare their unique ways of handling this fun and challenging literary form.
