| How do writers make the “fabulous” feel real so that readers suspend disbelief? When we are writing from “reality,” how do we guide readers’ emotions in the direction of the story? In this presentation, we’ll examine work by accomplished authors and our own writing for ways to paint vividly with words, enliven narrative, and awaken readers’ awareness through sensory details within a realm of sensory information that says “these characters, this place, this time, this story.” | |
