The Conference Chair leads the planning and execution of the Sonoma County Writers Conference, held every even-numbered year. This role oversees a large team of coordinators who handle publicity, presenters, registration, volunteers, exhibitors, contests, and special events. The Chair is responsible for guiding the overall vision, securing funding and keynote speakers, ensuring smooth logistics with the venue, and serving as the point person on the day of the conference. Afterward, the Chair prepares reports and evaluations to guide future conferences. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational and leadership skills who enjoys bringing people together for an inspiring literary event.
