The Salon Chair organizes Redwood Writers’ bi-monthly salons (in even months), casual gatherings where members can read their work and connect in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Unlike Writers Circle, the Salon focuses on sharing without critique, allowing members to celebrate each other’s writing. Responsibilities include securing volunteer hosts, setting themes, publicizing each salon, coordinating food and logistics, and serving as emcee. By creating welcoming spaces for readings and social connection, the Salon Chair helps nurture creativity and community within the club.
